We us Classic burlesque as a starting and draw on influences as varied as cultural dance, theater, sacred sexuality, and performance art.


Quick Tease

The Broad Squad Institute will get your juices flowing with Quick Tease! Hang out in the full blossom of your sensuality, creativity, humor and hotness! Easy to follow burlesque movement with influences from around the world. Exercises using the great Toni Elling’s 3P’s - Parade, Pose, Peel will bring out your elegance! Then we’ll have Glove & Boa play for sensuality and timing. We’ll also teach you how to make basic sequin pasties and share examples from our costumes so you can see the limitless possibilities.

The Ladies with the Fan

By Popular Demand! In 1928 Cab Calloway was so smitten with Cotton Club fan dancer Amy Spencer that he wrote the song The Lady with the Fans in her honor. Sally Rand became synonymous with fan dancing when she took the World’s Fair by storm with her fan dance in 1932. This class will get you started with fan dance as both a burlesque and cultural tradition. You’ll feel the bounty of your grace as you learn to reveal, conceal and become a Lady with the Fans. Fabric fans provided for classwork, feel free to bring you own feather fans!

Sensual Essence

Sensual Essence is fun candle lit "you" time completed with chocolate, strawberries & safe space to play with our sensual sides.  Leave with a confidence boost, a workout that doesn't feel like one & bevy of floor, standing, chair & booty moves. Dress comfortably,  bring heels &  music you wanna move to. Create a sexy dance for yourself or to share.

Peeling Into Burlesque

You will have a blast exploring your sensuality, telling your story and just being downright hot and saucy. This workshop will give you a foundation in classic burlesque and take you step by step through creating your own Burlesque routine that’s unique to you be it classical or theatrical. You will receive personal guidance in an inspiring supportive atmosphere. Culminating with a graduation show, “Peeling Into Burlesque” is a great opportunity to rediscover that nothing is hotter than you being yourself and loving it! The best part may be the ladies you share the journey with!

We’ll cover
*   Walking, bumping, grinding and shimmying techniques
*   Toni Elling’s 3P’s - Parade, Pose, Peel
*   Working with accessories & props
*   Musicality – how to select songs to fulfill your ideas and plan your routine.
*   Storytelling – how to make your number an exciting journey!
*   Costuming – You will create your own costume!
     (& learn some tricks of the trade!)
*   Group number in the graduation show.

Class Prep!

Everyone should dress to their comfort level this can include dance or yoga gear, and/or the sexy things you’d like to play in. If you choose to wear heels please make sure they are comfortable and easy for you to move around in.
